Where are you at right now?
Bloomington, IN
How are you interacting with your teammates?
We've been using GroupMe, texting, and Zoom sessions to stay in contact.
What advice would you give your fellow Hoosiers during this time?
Do things to try and keep your mind active as well like teaching yourself something new or picking a hobby back up that you haven't done in a while. Also, try not to stay cooped up inside and try to get fresh air once in a while, and stay connected with your fellow Hoosiers, family and friends.
What are you most looking forward to when you get back on the water?
I'm looking forward to getting to see my teammates everyday again and put in some hard work with them to prepare for the next racing season. I can't wait to see what these women, and this team, can accomplish.
How has the adjustment gone to online classes?
It hasn't been too bad, at first it was hard to remain focused as it's a very different environment to do classes in, but now that we've done a couple of weeks of it it's starting to become the new normal.
What gives you encouragement and motivation during this time?
My teammates, family, and friends. I've always been a pretty positive person and having all of these people in my life and staying connected with them as definitely helped during this time.
What is something you are doing to pass the time?
I've been going on walks, making my way through TV shows, baking/cooking, and knitting.
What shows are you watching?
I've watched House of Cards, The Simpsons, Halt and Catch Fire, Tiger King, childhood shows on Disney Plus, and am currently watching Narcos.
What is your major and what are your future career plans?
My major is Biology and after I've finished my undergrad degree, I would like to go to vet school. My plan has always been to be a big animal vet for horses, cattle, etc.
