Indiana University is in its 121st season of competition in men's basketball and opens the doors of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the 50th season. The Hoosiers will host Maryland and are coming off an 87-85 overtime win at home over Penn State. The Terrapins fell 84-73 at home against Michigan on Thursday.

THE COACHES
Indiana Coach Archie Miller is in his fourth season of guiding the Cream and Crimson and is 61-47 with the Hoosiers and earned career win 200 against Penn State. He is 200-110 in nine+ years as a head coach, which includes six years at the University of Dayton. His Flyer teams made NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his last four seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2014. Maryland is led by 10th year coach Mark Turgeon who is 210-103 in College Park.
ARMAAN ON A ROLL
In the last 5 games, sophomore Armaan Franklin is averaging 18.8 points, shooting 54.8% from the field and 60.0% from 3FG He has established career-high scoring efforts in 3 of those games. He had 23 points and made 5 of 6 3FG at Illinois. He followed up his first career-high 19-point performance against North Alabama with a 20-point effort against Butler. JACKSON-DAVIS STARTS SEASON STRONG
Sophomore forward Trayce Jackson-Davis ranks among B1G leaders in scoring, rebounds, field goal percentage and blocked shots. His most dominant performance this season was a 25-point, 17-rebound effort at Florida State. He had a career-high 31 points in the win over Stanford in the 3rd place game at Maui. He was named Big Ten Player of the Week and All-Tournament for his efforts at the Maui Invitational. He is a Preseason All-Big Ten pick and has been named to several Preseason All-American teams and is on the watch lists for the Wooden, Naismith and Malone Awards. He has had 14 career double-doubles. The Hoosiers are 12-2 when he reaches that milestone. He is averaging 20.1 points, 8.3 rebounds while shooting 53.5% from the floor and a team-high 19 blocks this season. He is the only Hoosier in the last 25 years to have 3 games of 25 points and 15 rebounds (at Minnesota, Nebraska). He is 2nd in the nation in FTs made (63) and 1st in attempts (86). He had 21 points, 8 boards and a career-high 5 blocks against Butler and 22 points and 9 caroms against Northwestern. He had 22 points and 6 rebounds against Penn State and sent the game into overtime on a free throw with 7 seconds left in regulation.
