IUVB Ready To Host Big Ten Foe No. 14 Penn State

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Volleyball (7-8, 1-2 Big Ten) returns to Wilkinson Hall on Saturday, October 2 when they host No. 14 Penn State (10-3, 3-0 Big Ten). The match is slated for a 6 p.m. start and will stream live on Big Ten Network Plus.

The Opening Serve
• The Hoosiers are coming off a road trip to Columbus, Ohio that saw a midweek matchup against No. 8 Ohio State. Despite strong play by Indiana in the final two sets, they fell to the Buckeyes in straight sets, 3-0 (25-10, 27-25, 25-20).
• Junior middle blocker Kaley Rammelsberg continues to lead the Hoosiers attack with 110 kills and a hitting percentage of .406. Her hitting percentage ranks No. 6 in the Big Ten Conference.
• Freshman setter Camryn Haworth is No. 8 in the conference in aces so far this season with 20.
• Junior defensive specialist Paula Cerame continues to rank No. 5 in digs among the Big Ten after tallying a team-leading 239 so far this season.

Penn State has an overall record of 10-3, remain undefeated in the Big Ten with a 3-0 record and rank No. 14 in country. Senior right side hitter Jonni Parker leads the Nittany Lions attack with 163 kills and a hitting percentage of .314. Senior outside hitter Adanna Rollins has also breached the 100 mark with 101 kills. Senior Gabby Blossom has recorded 15 aces and is also their main setter with 455 assists. On defense, senior middle blocker Kaitlyn Hord has tallied 76 blocks of which 15 were solo. As a team Penn State is allowing their opponent to hit just .179 while they are hitting .294 as a unit.

• Sophomore middle blocker Savannah Kjolhede is the squad leader in block with 51 and has recorded 90 kills on offense.
