Indiana Women’s Tennis Competes at Cincinnati/Xavier Fall Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Indiana women's tennis team had three student-athletes compete at the Cincinnati/Xavier Invitational Oct. 9-10.

Rose Hu won two of her three singles matches on the weekend. Hu started the tournament with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Grau of Northern Kentucky and also defeated Koo of NKU 6-2, 1-6, 10-8.

After dropping her first match of the weekend, Mila Mejic came back to win her next two singles matches. Mejic beat Tikhonko of Bellarmine 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 and defeated Kothakota of NKU 6-2, 6-4.

Hu teamed with Lexi Kubas in doubles and the pair won a 6-4 match over Moyer and Nwauzuzu of Xavier. Kubas and Mejic teamed up in doubles for a 6-2 win over Bruno and Niehaus of Cincinnati.

Next up for the Hoosiers will be the ITA Regional Championships Oct. 21-25 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
