BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team will open the season by hosting Utah on Sunday at the IU Tennis Center.

The Hoosiers return six players and added transfer Lara Schneider after she completed her freshman season at Florida State.
Schneider was ranked No. 25 in the 2020 class in the Tennis Recruiting Network and a five-star recruit. She graduated from Wando High School in 2020 and was ranked No. 1 in the girls 16 age division USTA South Region rankings in 2018.
Schneider and teammate Laura Masic went a perfect 6-0 at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship in the fall and qualified for the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego.
Junior Rose Hu won six of her seven singles matches during the fall season for the Hoosiers.
Fellow junior Mila Mejic won four singles matches during the fall season.
The IU women's tennis team will play their first six matches in Bloomington before road matches at Kentucky and Tennessee in the middle of February.
