
Cross Country Completes Last Regular Season Meet On Friday

MADISON, Wisc. – Indiana Cross Country completed its final regular season meet on Friday afternoon. For the second meet in a row, Sarah Schmitt and Arjun Jha led the way for the Hoosiers at the Nuttycombe Invitational.

Iowa State took the championship 8k men's team title with 88 points while the Indiana men garnered 21st place, recording 479 points. New Mexico was the championship women's 6k team winner on Friday afternoon with 93 points. As a team, the Hoosier women finished in 26th overall and tallied X points.
Arjun Jha led the way for the Indiana men with a 25th place finish and a time of 23:49.7. Ben Veatch placed in the top-100 in 91st and secured a time of 24:26.9.
Jake Gebhardt crossed the finish line in a time of 24:36.5 to place 115th. Gabriel Sanchez finished right behind Gebhardt in 116th and saw a time of 24:36.8. Austin Haskett picked up a time of 24:44.4 to place 136th. Skylar Stidam was next across in 157th and nabbed a time of 25:00.3. Rounding out the field, Dustin Horter completed the 8k in a time of 25:20.0 to finish in 192nd.

Mariah Wehrle was the next Hoosier across the line as she finished in 119th and clocked a time of 21:25.8. Maddie Dalton crossed in a time of 21:47.0 to place 164th followed by Hannah Stoffel in 176th who notched a time of 21:50.1.
Gracie Sprankle picked up a time of 233rd and saw a time of 22:35.0. Ana Barrott finished two spots behind in 235th while also garnering a time of 22:37.6. Lauryn Mick rounded out the field of eight Indiana runners with a 261st finish and a time of 23:28.2.
