IU Tied for Ninth After Two Rounds at Quail Valley
VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team is tied for ninth (568; -8) after 36 holes of golf at the Quail Valley Golf Club as part of the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational hosted by Michigan State.

Top Indiana Player: Drew Salyers – 141 (74-67; -3)
CHIP-INS
• Sophomore Drew Salyers was tremendous in the second round of the day, turning in a scorecard of 5-under 67. His bogey-free round consisted of five birdies scattered throughout the afternoon. He also converted back-to-back birdies on No. 13 and 14 to score a 2-over 74 during the first round of play.
• The Hoosiers have played at least one round in the 60s in 10 of 14 rounds played this season.
• Senior Mitch Davis shot 2-under par (142; 70-72) through the first two rounds. He carded 10 birdies on Sunday, including a team-high six in the first round of the tournament. He secured six of his 10 birdies on the front nine of the course.
• Fifth-year senior Ethan Shepherd finished third among Indiana golfers with a 1-under 143 (71-72). He notched a total of six birdies, including five in the opening round.
• Sophomore Clay Merchent played his first two rounds at even-par 144 (70-74). He was able to card seven birdies over the 36 holes played on Sunday.
• Junior Noah Gillard is 2-over 146 (72-74) through 36 holes. He recorded birdies on six holes, including No. 3 in both rounds.
