Masic, Schneider Capture ITA Regional Doubles Championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Laura Masic and Lara Schneider went a perfect 6-0 for the tournament to capture the doubles title at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships on Sunday.
In the final match the pair took down Carlota Molina and Elizabeth Stevens of Kentucky, 6-3, 6-2.
With their tournament win, Masic and Schneider qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships November 4-7 in San Diego, Calif.
"I'm really proud of them on how well they competed all weekend. The chemistry and the energy that they were able to bring from the start of the tournament to the finals allowed them to play at a very high level. They kept getting better match by match. This is the first tournament that they have played together so we are very excited to see what they can do at the national tournament. I'm very happy for them on what they have accomplished."
