
Hoosiers Drop Saturday Contest To Northwestern, 3-1

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Volleyball wrapped up its home stand on Saturday night where they fell to Northwestern, 3-1, (13-25, 25-23, 25-10, 25-19).
KEY MOMENTS
• Savannah Kjolhede saw the opening kill for the Hoosiers in the first set.
• Needing a timeout down 9-5, Breana Edwards, Morgan Geddes, and Kjolhede all recorded kills to spark the Indiana offense. Despite seeing some offensive production, the Hoosiers dropped the opening frame, 25-13.
• Out to a 11-10 advantage, Camryn Haworth served up an ace to go up by two. An attack error by the Wildcats forced them to call timeout with the Hoosiers ahead, 14-11.
• An ace by Northwestern put them within one as the Hoosiers called a timeout to break the momentum. After exchanging points the rest of the set, Indiana got the set two victory, 25-23.
• The Hoosiers let the Wildcats get out to 12-2 lead before Kjolhede slammed a kill. It was Northwestern for most of the set as Indiana lost the third set, 25-10.
• At the beginning of the fourth set, Edwards picked up a kill to bring the Hoosiers within four.
• Indiana forced Northwestern to commit an attacking to pull within one and make the score 18-17.
• Although the Hoosiers saw an offensive spark late with kills from Kaley Rammelsberg and Edwards, they couldn't get there footing an stumbled in the fourth set, 25-19.
