• Indiana's all-time tight ends receptions and yardage leader Peyton Hendershot made six catches for 51 yards. He finished the season with 46 receptions and 543 yards, which both rank third on IU's single-season tight ends lists.
• Fifth-year senior wide receiver Ty Fryfogle caught a pair of passes for 19 yards. The senior moved into sixth on the Hoosiers career yardage list with 2,231 and is sixth in career receptions with 158.
• Sophomore tight end AJ Barner made a career-high four grabs for 29 yards.
• Redshirt junior Davion Ervin-Poindexter set a career-high with 48 rushing yards on eight carries and redshirt freshman Charlie Spegal netted a career-best with 37 rushing yards on 9 attempts.
• True freshman quarterback Donaven McCulley put Indiana on the board in the opening quarter with a 2-yard rush, his second touchdown of the season.
• Senior linebacker Micah McFadden shared the team lead with seven tackles.
• Senior linebacker Cam Jones also posted seven stops.
• Fifth-year senior husky Marcelino McCrary-Ball carded his first sack of 2021 to give him 5.5 in his career, and he added seven tackles.
• Senior cornerback Jaylin Williams blocked an extra point in the fourth quarter, his first career block.
• Indiana won the coin toss and chose to defer for the fifth time this season.
• Redshirt senior right tackle Caleb Jones and senior defensive tackle Demarcus Elliott made the 30th starts of their careers.
• Senior safety Raheem Layne made the 25th start of his career.
• Senior left tackle Luke Haggard made the 15th start of his career.
• Redshirt sophomore quarterback Grant Gremel made the first start of his career and went 18-of-30 for 147 yards.
• The team voted wide receiver Ty Fryfogle, tight end Peyton Hendershot, linebacker Cam Jones, husky Marcelino McCrary-Ball, linebacker Micah McFadden, and quarterback Michael Penix Jr. season captains.
