BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Dolson announced today that he has accepted the resignation of head women's golf coach Clint Wallman.
Dolson named Emily Kuhfeld as the program's interim head coach for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Kuhfeld joined the IU program last summer as an assistant coach and arrived in Bloomington with seven years of head coaching experience. An Indianapolis native who played on four Big Ten Championship teams at Ohio State from 2002-05, Kuhfeld most recently spent six years as the head coach at Georgia Southern from 2015-2021.
Wallman spent 17-plus years as the head coach of IU Women's Golf. His teams earned NCAA Regional invitations six times, and twice advanced to the NCAA Championships.
In addition to the leadership change, Dolson also announced the launch of a national search for a full-time replacement led by Senior Associate Athletic Director and Women's Golf Administrator Jeremy Gray. The search will be ongoing and is expected to conclude during the off-season and in advance of the 2022-23 season.
Until a new full-time head coach is in place, Dolson has organized a transition team to help oversee the program, headed by Gray. Other members of the transition team include: Kuhfeld; Athletic Trainer Ali Crouch; Athletic Performance Coach Chris Virtue; Academic Advisor Sydney Walter; Men's Golf Head Coach Mike Mayer; and Men's Golf Associate Head Coach Corey Ziedonis.
