Glass Named Senior All-America by Senior CLASS Award

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – One of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award, Indiana men's soccer redshirt senior defender Spencer Glass was selected first team Senior All-America on Thursday (Dec. 9).
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Glass started 19 matches during his final season at Indiana and helped the IU defense secure 13 clean sheets, including a streak of seven straight shutouts in October. In his farewell season, Glass tallied three assists and two goals, with both of his scores coming in the NCAA Tournament. Glass was also an All-Big Ten Second Team and Big Ten All-Tournament Team selection.
During his storied career, Glass scored 11 goals and delivered 24 assists in 93 matches during his five seasons as a Hoosier. A three-time All-Big Ten selection, and 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches third team All-American, Glass was part of three straight Big Ten Championship doubles between the 2018, 2019 and 2020-21 seasons as well as three NCAA College Cup appearances in the 2017, 2018 and 2020-21 campaigns.
The two-time team captain has distinguished himself as a leader on the pitch, in the classroom and in the community. Glass is a two-time Big Ten Distinguished scholar and four-time All-Big Ten Academic Team selection.
The Fort Wayne, Indiana, native has served the Boys and Girls Club and Read Across America and is a member of Indiana's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
