Mary Parsons Leads Hoosiers on Final Day of Palmetto Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – After Sunday's second round was suspended due to darkness, Indiana women's golf returned to Turtle Point Golf Course on Monday for the final day of the Palmetto Intercollegiate. Senior Mary Parsons turned in her best performance of the event in the last round to finish 24th.

CHIP-INS
• No. 7 Duke won the event.
• The Hoosiers started on the No. 10 tee.
• Everyone in the Indiana lineup besides junior Maddie Dittoe had to finish their second round before going into the third and final round.
• Parsons carded a team-best 75 in the final round to earn a 24th place finish. She parred the first three holes before picking up a birdie on No. 13. She also birdied No. 1 in the middle of a string of seven-straight holes either at par or birdied. It marked her 15th career top-25 finish.
• Senior Angela Aung finished tied for 40th place and shot an 84. Aung recovered from a tough start to improve by four strokes on the front nine, including a birdie on No. 8.
• Sophomore Hanna Tanaka finished in 57th after shooting an 82 in the final round. The highlight of Tanaka's round was a birdie on No. 4.
• Sophomore Valerie Clancy shot an 85 and finished in 60th place. Clancy birdied No. 16 and then improved by one stroke on the front nine.
• Junior Maddie Dittoe, who was competing in her first team event as a Hoosier, ran into trouble on the back nine but improved by eight strokes after making the turn.
