
No. 7 Indiana Falls to Northwestern on Late Goal

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 7 Indiana (2-1-0) conceded a late goal in a 1-0 setback against the Northwestern Wildcats (2-1-0) at Ryan Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
KEY MOMENTS
• Northwestern's sophomore forward Ugo Achara Jr. cleaned up a scramble inside the 18-yard box to beat the Hoosier defense with the game-winning tally in the 87th-minute.
• Sophomore forward Maouloune Goumballe had a great chance in the 85th-minute off a cross from the right wing. He sliding attempt right in front goal sailed high.
• Senior forward Thomas Warr had three shots on goal in 39 minutes of run, but all were turned back by Northwestern senior keeper Miha Miskovic. The Zemun, Serbia, native made five saves in the match.
NOTABLES
• Sophomore goalkeeper Roman Celentano began the season with 267-straight minutes of scoreless soccer before conceding the late winner from the Wildcats. He made five saves in six chances.
• Celentano has yielded one or fewer goals in 16 of his 17 starts to open his Hoosier career.
• Despite the loss, IU holds a record of 28-2-9 in the program's last 39 Big Ten Conference regular-season matches.
• Northwestern last defeated Indiana in a 2-0 result on Oct. 25, 2009. IU was undefeated in the previous 14 (8-0-6) matches between the two programs.
