MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Monday's second round of the General Hackler Championship saw three from Indiana men's golf end the day in the top 30, led by freshman Clay Merchent in a tie for 24^th.

CHIP-INS
• The teams began on split tees, going off No. 1 and No. 10. Indiana started on No. 1.

• Freshman Clay Merchent climbed up 23 spots to finish the day tied for 24^th. He shot an even-72 on Monday, picking up three birdies. He was once again best on the front nine as he made the turn at 1-under.

• Senior Ethan Shepherd and freshman Drew Salyers are both tied for 30^th at 2-over-par 146. Shepherd shot a 76 in the second round with a trio of birdies while Salyers shot a 77.

• Junior Harry Reynolds is tied for 52^nd place and also carded a 77 on Monday. He was the strongest on the front nine, where he was 2-over at the turn.

• Senior Mitch Davis is tied for 72nd and shot a 79 in the second round. He had a birdie on No. 4 and made the turn at 1-over.
