No. 13 Indiana Water Polo Falls at No. 2 Stanford

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The No. 13-ranked Indiana University water polo team fell at No. 2 Stanford, 17-6, on Saturday afternoon at the Avery Aquatic Center in Palo Alto, Calif.
With the loss, Indiana falls to 8-5 on the season and to 0-1 in MPSF conference play. The Cardinal improve to 4-1 on the year and to 2-1 in league action.
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman Lexi Marissink led the Hoosier attack, scoring the first two goals of her collegiate career.
• Also scoring goals for the Hoosiers were junior Izzy Mandema, junior Lauren Etnyre, freshman Sophie Wazzan and freshman Kallie White.
• Etnyre also had a game-high two assists for Indiana.
• Sophomore Katherine Hawkins added an assist and a game-high three steals.
• In goal, junior Mary Askew had nine saves and a steal.
NOTABLES
• Wazzan tied her career with one goal in the loss.
• Indiana falls to 0-10 all-time against Stanford.
