COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Indianan Field Hockey (0-8, 0-8 Big Ten) concluded the weekend with a match against No. 10 Maryland (5-3, 5-3 Big Ten) on Sunday. Mary Kate Kesler had the Hoosier goal but it wasn't enough as Indiana fell to the Terrapins, 3-1.

KEY MOMENTS
• Kesler got the first piece of the offense for either team with the first shot of the day despite it going wide of the cage.
• Maryland received a penalty corner in the closing minutes of the first quarter. The Terrapins squared up a shot, but Shannon McNally was there for the save to keep the game scoreless through the first frame
• At the 8:22 mark in the second quarter Maryland earned another penalty corner which led to the first goal on the morning.
• Emma Martin inserted the ball on Indiana's first penalty corner of the day and resulted in an Indiana goal by Kesler. Martin and Meghan Dillon were credited with assists as the Hoosiers tied the match at 1-1 going into halftime.
• Coming out the break, the Terrapins earned four straight penalty corners. McNally come up clutch with three saves and the Hoosiers defense didn't let up a goal.
• Maryland tacked on two goals in the third quarter and took a 3-1 advantage.
• The Hoosiers couldn't get anything going as the Terrapins took the victory on Sunday afternoon.

NOTABLES
• Mary Kate Kesler saw her first goal of the season. She ended the match with a goal and two shots.
• Anna Gwiazdzinski led the team in shots for the second straight game with three.
• Meghan Dillon recorded her first career assist on the goal from Kelser.
• Emma Martin saw her first career assists on Sunday afternoon.
• Shannon McNally saved five shots by Maryland.
