
Hoosiers Conclude First Outdoor Meet Of The Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – On a beautiful day at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex, Indiana Track & Field wrapped its first outdoor meet of the season. Five personal bests fell at the Big Ten Indiana Invite No. 1 on Saturday afternoon.
Leah Moran returned for her final outdoor season where she saw two personal records drop on weekend one. The senior took gold in the long jump with a mark of 6.28m (20' 7.25") and the triple jump after soaring a distance of 13.25m (43' 5.75"). The mark b Moran is an improvement on her program record.
The men's long jump brought three personal records down for the Hoosiers. Treyton Harris took flight to win the event with a mark of 7.87m (25' 10"). Dom Day placed fifth after hitting a distance of 7.34m (24' 1") while Kynton Grays saw a mark of 7.14m.
JaiQuan Earls had an IU best of 7.41m (24' 3.75") in the long and placed fourth overall.
Making his Indiana outdoor debut, Nolan Landis locked down fifth place in the discus and secured a mark of 52.04m (170' 09").
On the track, Alyssa Robinson raced to second in the 400m and clocked a time of 55.43.
Shaton Vaughn tied for fourth by grabbing a time of 53.25 in the 400m hurdles.
Joely Pinkston put on the jets in the last 200m to rise to silver in the 1500m. Pinkston crossed in a time of 4:32.65.
Rounding out Indiana's time on the oval, Maria Anderson, Natalie Price, Morgan Snow, and Robinson combined for a time of 3:41.90 in the 4x400m relay and palced fourth. The team consisting of Mallory Mulzer, Shynae Deas, Pinkston, and Kelly Mindak finished in fifth and had a time of 3:52.53.
On the men's side, Vaughn, Zubin Muncherji, Parker Raymond, and Micah Camble ran a time of 3:11.97 to take home bronze.
The Hoosiers will next travel to Jacksonville, Fla. for the first Big Ten neutral site meet of the season. The meet is schedule for Friday, Apr. 2 and Saturday, Apr. 3.
