TEMPE, Ariz. – The No. 14-ranked Indiana University water polo team fell at No. 4 Arizona State, 9-2, on Saturday afternoon in Tempe, Ariz.
With the loss, the Hoosiers fall to 8-7 on the season overall and to 0-3 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) conference play. The Sun Devils improve to 10-4 on the year and to 4-1 in league action.
KEY MOMENTS
• Juniors Izzy Mandema and Tina Doherty each scored a goal for the Hoosiers. Doherty also recorded a steal.
• Sophomore Lanna Debow had a team-high two steals.
• Sophomore Zoe Crouch, sophomore Katherine Hawkins and freshman Lexi Marissink all notched steals for IU.
• In goal, junior Mary Askew had seven saves and one steal.
NOTABLES
• Marissink matched her career-high with one steal.
• Arizona State improves to 13-3 in the all-time series.
