Match with Purdue Next for Women’s Tennis

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana women's tennis team travels to Purdue for the first of two matches against the Boilermakers this season.

Notes
• Indiana is 1-5 on the season with a win over Michigan State.
• Purdue is 1-5 on the season with a win over Penn State.
• Last season the scheduled match against Purdue was canceled. Indiana only played two conference matches last season.
• The last time Indiana beat Purdue was in the 2016-17 season in a 4-3 win in West Lafayette.
• Two of the last three Indiana vs. Purdue matches have come down to the last singles match.
• Indiana has played four of their six matches on the road this season.
• Freshman Laura Masic has won two of three singles matches at the No. 1 singles position for the Hoosiers.
• Alexandra Staiculescu is 4-4 overall in singles and 3-2 in conference matches at the No. 3 singles position.
• Indiana will return home March 12 and March 14 to host matches against Wisconsin and Minnesota.
• The Hoosiers return everyone from their 2019-20 roster, plus they add three freshmen to the roster this season.
• Indiana has six different countries represented on their roster: Australia, China, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and the United States.
