UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – No. 24 Indiana women's soccer dropped a 2-1 decision to No. 13 Penn State on Thursday afternoon at Holuba Hall in University Park, Pa. after the Nittany Lions scored the gamewinner in the 60^th minute.

KEY MOMENTS
• After a defensive battle in the first half that left both teams scoreless, Indiana took the lead in the 53^rd minute. On an IU corner kick, freshman defender Anna Aehling headed it right to senior defender Hanna Németh who booted a long one to the far back of the net.
• In the 54^th minute, Penn State's Frankie Tagliaferri fired back when she sent a shot flying straight to the middle of the goal from the center of the penalty box where it hit the gloves of Kopel, but she was unable to get the save.
• The Nittany Lions' Sam Coffey found the winning goal on a breakaway in the 60^th minute to give Penn State the lead, 2-1.
• Senior Melanie Forbes and sophomore Avery Lockwood took a couple of on target shots but was saved by Penn State goalkeeper Katherine Asman.
• Indiana looked for the equalizer late as the Hoosiers earned a corner in the 90^th minute, but a shot from Madeline Carlson to the top right of the net went wide.

NOTABLES
• Indiana is now 2-2 on the season while Penn State improved to 3-1.
• Senior Hanna Németh netted her first career goal.
• Freshman Anna Aehling recorded her first career assist and point. Aehling has also started in all four of the Hoosiers' games this year.
•Indiana took six shots on goal and held the Nittany Lions to one after they tied it up in the 60^th minute but couldn't capitalize as PSU's goalkeeper was there for the saves.
• IU led with 15-12 shots in today's match, seven of those being on goal.
