BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's soccer returns home to face their first ranked opponent of the season. The Hoosiers will play host to No. 6 Ohio State in their second conference matchup on Sunday, September 13th at 1 pm.
ABOUT THE COACHES
ABOUT THE BUCKEYES
Ohio State come to Bloomington with a 5-0-1 record, sitting as a top-10 team in the country. They are lead by Amanda Schlueter and Elle Britt with four and three goals scored, respectively. The Buckeyes hold wins over No. 12 Kansas, Kentucky, Princeton No. 23 Memphis, and Penn State.
Last Time Out
The Hoosiers return home after defeating Nebraska in their conference opener this past Thursday.
The two teams played a back and forth match through the first half with Nebraska leading in shot attempts 7-6.
The Hoosier defense held strong with goalkeeper Dani Jacobson recording three saves to keep the game tied at zero heading into the break.
Midfielder Maggie Ledwith had an early shot attempt in the second half took a bad bounce off the crossbar to keep the match tied at zero in the 47th minute.
The game continued back and forth before the Hoosiers saw a run-out opportunity by defender Haden Vlcek. She played the ball to defender Grace Hamm who found Ledwith for the games lone goal score in the 89th minute of play.
The Cornhuskers had no answer late to give Indiana their first ever win at Hibner Field.

Bella Haggerty and Maggie Ledwith lead all Hoosiers with three goals scored apiece this season. Kennedy Neighbors and Piper Coffield tie with two goals apiece, followed by Aleyna Quinn and Jenna Chatterton with one goal each.
10 Hoosiers have recorded an assist this season, led by Ledwith and Grace Hamm with two. Haggerty and Droner recorded assists in the previous match for the Hoosiers. Neighbors, Chatterton, Ehret, Falzarano, Stanley, and Vlcek also have assists recorded this season.
Ledwith and Haggerty lead the Hoosiers in total points with eight and seven, respectively. Neighbors follows behind with five along with Coffield and Chatterton with four and three, respectively. Aleyna Quinn and Grace Hamm each have two points while Paige Droner, Emma Ehret, Amaya Falzarano, Ella Stanley, and Haden Vlcek also have one point apiece for the Hoosiers.
18 Hoosiers have recorded a shot this season. Ledwith leads the way with 18 shot attempts, followed by Neighbors and Hamm with 11 each. Coffield, Chatterton, Droner, and Graham have added six apiece along with Haggerty who has five.
