Hoosiers Shutout Buckeyes in Series Finale

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Before the game Gabbi Jenkins was honored for breaking the career stolen base record, then went 3-for-3 and added two stolen bases to help the Hoosiers to a 3-0 win against Ohio State on Sunday at Andy Mohr Field.
KEY MOMENTS
• The Hoosiers struck first in the bottom of the third inning. Taylor Lambert walked, then Jenkins singled to right center, advancing Lambert to third. Grayson Radcliffe hit a sacrifice fly to score Lambert. Bella Norton came on to pinch hit and singles to score Jenkins.
• In the top of the fourth inning Emily Goodin got out of a situation where Ohio State has runners on second and third with one out.
• In the bottom half of the sixth inning the Hoosiers added a third run. Lambert hit into a fielder's choice and advanced to second on a walk from Jenkins. Radcliffe then reached on an error by Ohio State and Lambert scored.
• Goodin ended the game for the Hoosiers with back-to-back strikeouts.

• Indiana improves to 14-14 on the season. Ohio State drops to 14-13 on the season.
• The Hoosiers shutout Ohio State for the second time in the series. Over the four games Indiana outscored Ohio State 24-11.
• Emily Goodin pitched seven innings to get the complete game shutout and struck out six Buckeyes for the game. Goodin improved to 9-10 on the season.
• For the series Goodin recorded an era of 0.84 in 21.1 innings pitched with 22 strikeouts.
• Gabbi Jenkins added to stolen bases to her total and now has 93 for her career and leads the Big Ten with 21 stolen bags on the season.
• Jenkins went 10-14 and hit .714 for the series with six RBI and four extra base hits.
• Grayson Radcliffe hit .600 for the series with six hits and six RBI.
• Grace Lorsung hit a three-run home run in the third game of the series to tie it 9-9 and recorded 20 putouts at catcher and first base for the Hoosiers. Lorsung had four hits and four RBI for the series.
• The Hoosiers win their second straight series, taking three of four games for the second straight weekend.
