
IUFH Falls In Close Battle With Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – It was a defensive battle as Indiana Field Hockey battled Penn State on Friday afternoon. Putting up a strong front, the Hoosiers let up the lone goal of the day in the 1-0 loss to Penn State.
KEY MOMENTS
• Meghan Dillon got the first shot off which hit post and wasn't able to find the cage.
• Anna Gwiazdzinski and Mary Kate Kelser saw chances in the second frame but the Nittany Lions goalkeeper was there for the save. The score would remain tied at zero going into halftime.
• Madi Guyer squared up a shot in the third but it went side of the goal.
• Kesler's second shot came in the third as it was on target but saved.
• Earning a penalty corner, Emma Martin inserted the ball where Peyton Becker got a shot off but it was blocked.
• Maddie Boehm got the final shot for the Hoosiers.
• Penn State would find the advantage in the fourth to take game one by a score of 1-0.
