Hoosiers Fall Against No. 7 Wildcats

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 by Northwestern on Friday at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts.

Northwestern (17-2) won No. 2 and No. 3 doubles 6-1 to take the doubles point.

Laura Masic got out to a 3-1 lead in her first set and narrowly lost 7-5. Michelle McKamey was up 6-5 in her first set when the match was retired by Northwestern.

Rose Hu battled back from dropping her first set at No. 6 singles to rally to a 6-2 win in the second set.

Up next the Hoosieres (1-13) travel to Michigan State for a Sunday match against the Spartans.
