TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Indiana men's golf wrapped up play in the NCAA Regional at Seminole Legacy Golf Club on Wednesday, putting together its strongest round of the week and finishing in ninth place. Two Hoosiers finished in the top-30 as Mitch Davis tied for 23rd and Brock Ochsenreiter tied for 28th.

• The field began on split tees with Indiana starting on No. 10.

• Host Florida State took home the team title as they ended the event at 34-under par. Advancing to the NCAA Finals with Florida State are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Liberty and TCU. Georgia's Davis Thompson won the individual title, while Jacksonville's Michael Sakane came in second and earned the individual spot at NCAA Finals.

• The ninth-place finish is the best for the Hoosiers in a Regional since also finishing ninth in 2012.

• As a team, the Hoosiers posted a 289 on Wednesday, shaving one stroke off the first two days' total. They finished with a three-day total of 5-over-par 869.

• Davis maintained his 23^rd place standing, carding a 1-over-par 73 in the final round and finishing the event with an even-216. He was 1-over on the back nine but picked up three birdies on the front nine.

• Brock Ochsenreiter carded an even-72 on the final day, as he finished the regional tied for 28^th at 1-over-par 217. After making the turn at 4-over, he was exceptional on the front nine as he parred or birdied every hole to post a 4-under and draw even.

• Freshman Clay Merchent saved his best outing of the event for last as he carded a 71, matching the low for any Hoosier on the week. He birdied twice and parred every other hole except for No. 18 to move up 10 spots on the final day. Merchent finished at 5-over on the week and tied for 47^th place.

• Classmate Drew Salyers tied for 51st place as he shot a 78 on Wednesday, bringing his three-round total to 7-over-par 223.

• Senior Ethan Shepherd moved up five spots on the final day to finish tied for 56^th place. He carded a 73, including an impressive 33 on the front nine with a trio of birdies.
