
Bierman’s Complete-Game Gem Leads No. 23 Hoosiers Past Nebraska, 4-2

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The No. 23-ranked Indiana University baseball team took down Nebraska, 4-2, on Sunday afternoon in Piscataway, N.J.
With the victory, the Hoosiers improve to 23-10 on the season overall and in Big Ten conference play. The Cornhuskers fall to 21-11 on the year and in league action. IU will remain atop the Big Ten standings after the weekend.
KEY MOMENTS
• The Hoosiers brought 10 men to the plate in the first inning, taking a 4-0 lead on six singles and a walk. INF Cole Barr had a two-run single, while both DH Ethan Vecrumba and C Collin Hopkins each had run-scoring singles for IU.
• RHP Gabe Bierman (5-2) had one of the best performances of his career, posting his first career complete game.
• The Jeffersonville, Ind. native allowed just two runs, one earned, on the day. He scattered four hits while matching his career-high with 11 strikeouts.
• Bierman lowered his Big Ten-leading ERA to just 2.09 for the season.
