
Robson Named Top Assistant Coach by CSN

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana assistant coach Kevin Robson was named one of the top-12 assistant coaches in the nation by College Soccer News, the publication announced on Tuesday.
Robson enters his ninth season (eighth as an assistant coach) in Bloomington and has held the title of recruiting coordinator since 2017. The Hoosiers have brought in top-10 signing classes in each of those seasons.
Indiana in the midst of a historical run of success for a program littered with history. IU has won the last six (3 regular season, 3 tournament) trophies handed out by the Big Ten Conference. In three of the last four seasons, the Hoosiers have advanced to the College Cup.
In an abbreviated spring season, Indiana finished 12-2-2 overall and 7-1-0 in conference play. The Hoosiers swept both the regular season and tournament championships on their way to the national championship match.
Sophomore forward Victor Bezerra earned a bevy of accolades throughout the season, including: MAC Hermann runner-up, United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team, Top Drawer Soccer Best XI First Team, United Soccer Coaches All-North Region First Team, Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, Big Ten Offensive Player of the Tournament, and Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
For the 34th-straight season and 45th overall, Indiana made the NCAA Tournament hosted in Cary, N.C. and the surrounding areas. The Hoosiers rattled off victories against St. Francis Brooklyn (PK's), No. 19 Marquette (2-1), No. 6 Seton Hall (2-0), and No. 3 Pittsburgh (1-0), before falling to No. 10 Marshall (1-0) in the national championship.
