Jacob Moran on World Team Training Camp

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sophomore wrestler Jacob Moran and several teammates recently spent time at the world team training camp. Moran in his own words wrote about the experience.
After a few days of reflection, I am forever grateful for this last week in South Dakota at the Junior World Team Camp. It is always an honor to be around the best wrestlers in America and learn world class technique from our country's greats. This camp created an even stronger bond between the group of guys. We are thankful for the opportunity to travel the country training to become the best in the world. Without the support of our coaching staff, university, and fans none of this would be possible.
Coming to Indiana this past fall I had no clue what to expect. It was my first year in college and also the first time anyone was going through Covid protocols. However, throughout the year I was able to grow in many ways. Being able to pick the brains of our coaching staff allowed me to elevate both technically and mentally.
Wrestling at The Big Ten Championships was an experience that has pushed me to become a better version of myself. It helped me see what it takes to become an NCAA Champion and help elevate the program in the right direction. I couldn't be happier being a Hoosier and can't wait for this upcoming year! Thank you for all of your support and we can't wait to see you back in Wilkinson Hall.
