Indiana Women’s Tennis Completes Hoosier Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana women's tennis team wrapped up the three-day Hoosier Classic on Sunday at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts.
The first two days the individuals played two rounds of doubles and three rounds of singles.
Redshirt freshman Lara Schneider went 3-0 in singles competition, winning each of her matches in straight sets.
On Friday Xiaowei "Rose" Hu won her opening singles match of the tournament 6-3, 6-2. Sayda Hernandez won her first match 7-6 (3), 6-3.
The doubles team of Schneider and Mila Mejic won their two doubles matches on Friday, 6-3 and 6-2 respectively. The duo split their two matches on Sunday to finish with a 3-1 record for the tournament.
Up next the Hoosiers head to the Cincinnati/Xavier Fall Invitational Oct. 8-10.
