Indiana Looks for Bounce Back Against Xavier

Hoosiers Set to Host Musketeers Monday Night
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 1-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (2-1-0) host the Xavier Musketeers (3-0-0) in the final game of the adidas/Indiana Credit Union Classic at 8 p.m. ET at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

SETTING THE SCENE
• Indiana suffered a 3-0 setback against Creighton on Friday night to open the tournament. The loss marks the first Indiana men's soccer regular season loss at home since Oct. 10, 2015. The unbeaten streak reached 43 matches (37-0-6) with eight home victories over ranked opponents during the stretch.
• Xavier defeated Ohio State in the opening round of the Classic in a thrilling 2-1 result.
• In the 38 seasons of the Classic, the Hoosiers have compiled a record of 40-20-16 (.631 winning percentage). Indiana is 7-1-1 in the last five seasons the event has been held.
• The matchup will begin immediately following the conclusion of the third of four games to be played in the tournament over the weekend, Ohio State vs. Creighton.
HOOSIERS ON THE REBOUND
• The loss suffered by Indiana on Sept. 3 against Creighton was just the 14th loss for the Hoosiers in the regular season since the start of the 2014 campaign.
• In the matches immediately following a loss, Indiana holds a record of 9-0-4. IU has outscored its opponent 21-5 in those matches.
• The Hoosier soccer team has not sustained back-to-back losses in the regular season since the 2013 season.
ABOUT THE MUSKETEERS
• Xavier enters the match with a record of 3-0-0 under the direction of head coach Andy Fleming. The Marist College standout is the all-time wins leader at Xavier with a record of 112-70-32 through 12 seasons.
• The Musketeers hold victories over Eastern Illinois (1-0), IUPUI (3-1) and Ohio State (2-1) this season.
• Sophomore midfielder Jerome Jolly has scored three of Xavier's six goals this season and leads all Musketeers in total points (6), shots on goal (4) and game-winning goals (3).
• Junior forward Karsen Henderlong has tallied two goals and one assist for five total points. He has posted a team-high six shots this season with three going on frame.
• Graduate transfer goalkeeper Matthew Rosenburgh has tended net for all 270 minutes played by Xavier this season. He has allowed just two goals (0.67 GAA) and made four saves in three starts.

• The two squads have met just two times on the soccer field with each program winning once. Both matchups came in the NCAA Tournament.
• Indiana defeated Xavier in the second round of the magical 2012 season. IU would win the matchup 4-0 before hoisting the national championship trophy later that season.
• The Musketeers returned the favor with a 2-1 victory over the Hoosiers in the second round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

• Redshirt junior Ben Yeagley scored a brilliant golden goal to defeat the Irish in the season opener. The tally came in the 93rd minute of the match and marked Yeagley's first career points at Indiana.
• Sophomore defender Joey Maher put his name in the box score with a game-winning goal in the 29th minute of the IU 1-0 victory over Butler in the second match of the season.
