Jordyn Levy Earns Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After scoring two goals this past week, including a game winner against Western Michigan, Indiana women's soccer forward Jordyn Levy has been selected the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the league announced today.
In addition to her goal against Western Michigan, Levy scored one of six Hoosiers goals in a 6-0 win over Southeast Missouri State. The six goals were the most an IU women's soccer team has scored in a match since the 2011 season. It was also the most scored in a half in program history.
Levy, a native of Dix Hills, N.Y., has played in all five matches for Indiana this season and leads the team with three goals on the season.
The last Hoosier to win the Big Ten Freshman of the Week award was Bethany Kopel in the 2017 season.
Up next the Hoosiers host Murray State on Thursday Sept. 9 at 7pm at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Admission is free for all home regular season women's soccer matches.
