BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Track & Field sees a spilt weekend as the jumps squad travels to Vanderbilt for the Commodore Challenge while the rest of the team will compete at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational hosted by Michigan.

Last Time Out: Hoosier Open
The Hoosiers had a dominant first meet of the season, seeing 18 individuals and two relays take the win in their respective events. Nine Hoosiers picked up new personal records which was highlighted by Rikkoi Brathwaite who threw down a time of 6.54 in the 60m dash. Three newcomers won their first events in an Indiana uniform, Ryan Lipe (Pole Vault), Jayden Ulrich (Shot Put), and Tyray Lackey (High Jump). Ulrich is now No. 5 in school history with a mark of 16.68m (54' 8.75") in the shot put. Alyssa Robinson leaped to No. 2 on the all-time program list in the 300m with a time of 38.23 while Maria Anderson is No. 8 all-time in the 500m with a time of 1:13.20. Kelly Mindak and Hannah Stoffel appear at No. 5 and No. 6 in the 1000m and Mahogany Jenkins is tied for second in the high jump after a clearance of 1.81m (5' 11.25").

Hustlin' Hoosier
Rikkoi Brathwaite continues to pave his path among the NCAA Elite. The senior clocked a time of 6.54 in the 60m at the Hoosier Open on Dec. 10, 2021, which was a personal, meet, facility, and school record. He is now in sole possession of the Big Ten record and has recorded the fastest time in the 60m so far this season. A native of the British Virgin Islands, 6.54 is the national record for the 60m which was also previously set by Brathwaite. He also went on to earn Big Ten weekly honors for the week of Dec. 12
