Hoosiers Respond to Earn Road Point

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Indiana men's soccer (4-2-3, 1-1-2 B1G) fought back from a goal down to Michigan (3-5-3, 1-2-1 B1G) twice on Sunday (Oct. 2) at U-M Soccer Stadium and earned a road point in Big Ten Conference play.
With IU down 1-0, redshirt senior defender and reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Daniel Munie came into the match in the 59th minute, his first action since September 9 against Akron. The Hoosiers would score five minutes later, and Munie recorded IU's equalizer in the 82nd minute. The two teams finished tied, 2-2.
KEY MOMENTS
• 12' – The hosts got off on the right foot, earning the bulk of the chances in the first 30 minutes. Michigan's first clear cut opportunity came in the 12th minute when a header clanged off the crossbar.
• 20' – Eight minutes later, the Wolverines had the lead. A cross from the left wing sailed over a reaching Harms and to sophomore defender Jason Bucknor. Bucknor fired it into the open goal, and the last IU defender couldn't clear it off the line.
• 60' – Munie made his first appearance in conference play this season, replacing senior forward Karsen Henderlong.
• 65' – Indiana got its first equalizer from great combination play. Freshman midfielder Jack Wagoner played up to redshirt senior Ryan Wittenbrink, coming inside from the left wing. Wittenbrink pushed it over to sophomore forward Tommy Mihalic, who turned and fired a laser from 20 yards out past the keeper.
• 66' – The Wolverines retook the lead moments later, as senior midfielder Cameron Martin converted a header from a cross.
• 82' – Inside 10 minutes to play, IU tied it again. Henderlong flashed a cross towards the six-yard box, and Munie was in the area to help guide it in.
