WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Indiana men's golf team moved up a spot in the team standings and sit eighth overall at The Williams Cup. As a team, the Hoosiers shot an 11-over 299 in the second round on Saturday at the Eagle Point Golf Club.

Tournament host and No. 8 North Carolina increased the team lead to 14 strokes at 575 (-1). UNC Wilmington (589; +13) and NC State (590; +14) sit second and third, respectively.

• Junior Drew Salyers is tied for the tournament lead after shooting a 70 (-2) in the second round of the event. He knocked down a team-best five birdies and holds a two-round score of 142 (72-70; -2).
• The reigning Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week is tied with NC State's Brandon Einstein atop the individual leaderboard.
• Salyers has played six-straight round at or under par dating back to the third round of the Purdue Fall Invitational.
• Graduate transfer Thomas Hursey played his second-consecutive round of 76 (+4) with three total birdies.
• Fifth-year senior Mitch Davis turned in a solid round of 75 (+3) with a birdie on No. 6.
• Senior Eric Berggren played an up-and-down round that consisted of four birdies and a final tally of 78 (+6).
• Senior Noah Gillard converted three birdies on his scorecard that read 81 (+9).
