PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Indiana women's soccer (2-5-6, 0-5-1) fell 1-0 against No. 10 Rutgers (12-1-1, 4-1-1) on Sunday afternoon at Yurcak Field. The Scarlet Knights capitalized on a penalty kick in the 61^st minute.

KEY MOMENTS
• After a scoreless first half and pressure from the Indiana defense, both teams were eager to take the lead.
• Indiana saw their first real dangerous opportunity after junior forward Anna Bennett sent a cross to an open area in the box, but it was hovered on by the goalkeeper before Jen Blitchok could make the contact.
• Rutgers jumped ahead in the 61^st minute on a penalty kick that was awarded after Indiana committed a foul in the box.
• Redshirt-freshman midfielder Ava Akeel nearly found the equalizer in the 78^th minute of the match on a downward header from sophomore forward Jordyn Levy. She sent it right in the center of the box at the foot of Akeel but couldn't get it past the diving goalkeeper.

NOTABLES
• The Hoosiers tied 1-1 in corner kicks against Rutgers.
• IU is 1-7-1 versus the conference opponent.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Jamie Gerstenberg picked up five saves on the afternoon, totaling 75 saves this season.
