GAME NOTES: Old Oaken Bucket

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Rivalry games are at the core of college football and Saturday (Nov. 26) will watch the 97th chapter of the Old Oaken Bucket unfold when the Indiana football program hosts Purdue for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Big Ten Network inside Memorial Stadium. It will be the 124th all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Old Oaken Bucket game first played in 1925.

Setting the Scene
• Indiana (4-7, 2-6 B1G) will return home for Senior Day when it battles Purdue (7-4, 5-3 B1G) for the Old Oaken Bucket at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, in the 124th meeting between the two programs and the 97th meeting for the Old Oaken Bucket.
• Indiana has won five of the last eight contests with Purdue, including a double overtime win on the road in 2019. IU will be looking to join a select group in the history of the program to win both the Spittoon and Oaken Bucket in the same season.
