
Hoosiers Put The Wraps On The 2021-22 Indoor Home Slate

with Hoosier Hills. The Hoosiers captured 16 event wins inside Gladstein Field House.
KEY MOMENTS
• Mariah Wehrle kicked off the meet on Friday afternoon by winning the 5000m in a personal best time of 16:31.11.
• Competeing for the just the second time this season, Lauren Thomas won the 400m fast section with a time of 55.88. Kaylee Lane saw bronze and a time of 56.30
• The Hoosiers took the top spot in both the men's and women's 600m. Parker Raymond won on the men's side with a time of 1:19.19 while Maria Anderson was the winner of the women's event with a personal best time of 1:30.35.
• Elizabeth Stanhope captured a time of 2:10.02 in the 800m fast section to take home gold.
• In the men's 800m, Reece Proctor and Keelan Grant finished in first and second. Proctor garnered a personal record of 1:51.79 while Grant saw a time of 1:52.07.
• Austin Haskett picked up his first win of the season in the mile as he crossed in a time of 4:09.56. Gabriel Sanchez finished in third with a time of 4:12.63.
• Both the men's and women's distance medley relay teams took first place honors. Mikaela Ramirez, Kelly Mindak, Stanhope, and Alyssa Skorge combined for a time of 12:08.58 while Sanchez, Cooper Williams, Proctor, and Keelan Grant ran a time of 10:17.00.
• The women's 4x400m relay squad consisting of Anderson, Thomas, Shynae Deas, and Lane picked up the victory with a time of 3:48.94.
• On the men's side, Shaton Vaughn, Micah Camble, Raymond, and Zubin Muncherji raced to second with a time of 3:15.21.
• The Hoosiers saw a sweep of the top three spots in the women's shot put on Friday night. Maddy Pollard led the way with a winning mark of 17.00m (55' 9.25") while Jayden Ulrich finished in second with a mark of 16.77m (55' 0.25"). Makayla Hunter came in third and saw a mark of 15.97m (52' 4.75").
• In the men's competition of the shot put, Adam Strouf picked up a season best mark of 18.10m (59' 4.75") which was good enough for first.
• Mahogany Jenkins and Jyles Etienne were victorious in the high jump. Jenkins cleared a height of 1.74m (5' 8.5") while Etienne made his season debut with a clearance of 2.08m (6' 9.75").
• Jenkins also went on to win the triple jump with a season best of 12.43m (40' 9.5").
• JaiQuan Earls and Paola Fernandez-Sola also leaped to victory in the long jump. Earls picked up a mark of 7.14m (23' 5.25") while Fernandez-Sola picked up a mark of 5.92m (19' 5.25").
NOTABLES
• Ben Miller set a personal record in the 3000m with a time of 8:11.00 which was good enough for second place.
• Skylar Stidam also set a personal best in the 3000m by clocking a time of 8:15.02.
• Kelly Mindak and Shynae Deas threw down personal records in the 600m. Mindak captured a time of 1:30.66 while Deas went 1:33.45.
• Crossing in second, Mikaela Ramirez saw a time of 4:51.49 in the mile for a new personal record.
