Match at Kentucky Next for Hoosiers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team will travel on the road for the first time this season with a match against Kentucky on Tuesday February 15.

After dropping their first match of the season, the Hoosiers have now reeled off five straight victories.
Most recently the Hoosiers secured wins against Western Michigan (5-0) and Bellarmine (4-0) this past weekend.
Lara Schneider (5-0) and Alexandra Staiculescu (4-0) remained perfect on the season in dual match singles.
As a team the Hoosiers have posted a record of 22-9 in dual match singles competition.
On the doubles side Indiana has combined for an 8-4 mark, led by Laura Masic and Lara Schneider at 3-1 and Mila Mejic and Alexandra Staiculescu also at 3-1.
The Hoosiers return six players and added transfer Lara Schneider after she completed her freshman season at Florida State.
Schneider was ranked No. 25 in the 2020 class in the Tennis Recruiting Network and a five-star recruit. She graduated from Wando High School in 2020 and was ranked No. 1 in the girls 16 age division USTA South Region rankings in 2018.
Schneider and teammate Laura Masic went a perfect 6-0 at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship in the fall and qualified for the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego.
