Hoosiers Drop Match at No. 20 Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, TENN. – The Indiana women's tennis team showed good fight, but fell 4-0 against No. 20 Tennessee on Saturday.

Tennessee opened the match winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to win the doubles point. The No. 2 doubles match was closely contested with Tennessee leading 6-5 at the time it was abandoned.

After dropping her first set, Lara Schneider was up 5-2 in the second set when Tennessee clinched the match. Alexandra Staiculescu also lost her first set, but came back and was 5-5 in the second set.

Up next the Hoosiers (5-3) host Cornell and Xavier at the IU Tennis Center on February 26 and 27.
