No. 17 Indiana Ready For Next Challenge at Barbara Kalbus Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 17 Indiana Water Polo continues the 2022 season at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational with four games from Feb. 25-27. It will first face No. 6 Michigan on Friday evening.

NOTES

Indiana (5-6, 0-1 MPSF) will face rival No. 6 Michigan as part of Group D which also features No. 5 Hawai'i and No. 18 LMU. They have already faced the Wolverines and Rainbow Wahine in the Michigan Invitational this season.
The Barbara Kalbus Invite will be hosted by UC Irvine to honor longtime friend and water polo icon, Dr. Barbara Kalbus. A 1993 inductee into the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame, Kalbus' impact on the sport was felt across the globe. She served as a longtime manager for the Men's Senior National Team, holding a variety of leadership positions within USA Water Polo since the earliest days of the organization, including the title of President from 1980-1984.
The Hoosiers stayed put at No. 17 in the CWPA Week 5 poll. Of the 15 team field at the Kalbus Invite, eight teams are ranked in the Top 25.
Senior Izzy Mandema leads the way for IU this season with 28 goals and eight drawn exclusions. Freshman Skylar Kidd has added 17 goals and six assists for 23 points while senior Tina Doherty has put 19 goals behind the net along with two assists for 21 points. Junior Zoe Crouch leads the way with 10 assists and has also chipped in 10 goals.
