OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – Indiana rowing set its season in motion Saturday (March 19) in the first day of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational.

KEY MOMENTS
- Indiana finished top-two in five of its six races during the morning session. The Hoosiers out-raced No. 17 Wisconsin in five of those races and No. 20 Tennessee once. In five races, Indiana trailed only No. 14 Duke.
- IU improved significantly in the evening session, winning two races: the First Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8. Indiana's 1V8 win came in a photo finish as the Hoosiers edged out Navy by just over a second.
- After lineup adjustments between sessions, the Hoosiers improved times in all six races. IU's greatest adjustment came in the First Novice 8 as IU dropped 23 seconds from its morning time. Indiana's four varsity boats each cut at least seven seconds.
