Four IU Individuals Head to Butler Spring Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's golf team will send four individuals to the Butler Spring Invitational at the Highland Golf and Country Club in Indianapolis. The 54-hole event will begin on March 28.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Indiana will be joined by Ball State, Illinois, Indianapolis, IUPUI and West Virginia as programs only brining individual players.
• The tournament will mark the first of the spring slate for all four Hoosiers competing.
• The tournament will feature 36 holes of play on Monday followed by the final 18 to be played on Tuesday. Both days are scheduled for 9 a.m. ET shotgun starts.
TEAM NOTES
• Indiana won the Big Ten Match Play Championships team title for the second time in as many seasons. The Hoosiers took down Penn State (3.5-1.5), Purdue (3-2) and Michigan State (3-2) in consecutive matches to earn the win.
• Senior Mitch Davis won all three of his individual matches against the Big Ten field to secure the conference's player of the week honors on Feb. 10.
• Sophomore Drew Salyers has twice been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week (Sept. 8 and Sept. 22) after winning his first tournament as a member of the Cream and Crimson at the Hoosier Collegiate and earned a second-straight top-5 finish at the Fighting Illini Invitational.
• The Hoosiers check in at No. 46 in the latest GolfWeek Collegiate Rankings.
