Indiana Women’s Tennis Wins Rivalry Match Over Purdue

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Women's Tennis earned an impressive comeback victory over rival No. 65 Purdue on Saturday afternoon, 4-2.

With the win, Indiana improves to 9-9 on the season and have won two of their last three matches.

After Purdue won the doubles point, Indiana's Alexandra Staiculescu and Laura Masic won two straight matches at No. 3 and No. 2 singles to take an overall 2-1 lead.

The Boilermakers evened the score at 2-2 with a No. 6 singles win, but the Hoosiers bounced right back.

Indiana's Lara Schneider won at No. 1 singles and Mila Mejic quickly followed up with a 6-0, 7-6 (7-3) win at No. 4 singles to clinch the match win for the Hoosiers.

Up next, Indiana will host Penn State for a home match on Friday, April 8.
