Indiana Improves in Second Round at Big Ten Championship

PITTSBURGH – The Indiana women's golf team jumped one spot in the team standings and is now tied for 13th after 36 holes at the 2022 Big Ten Women's Championship. IU shot a 303 (+19) at the Fox Chapel Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.

• Fifth-year senior Mary Parsons scattered a team-high five birdies in her round of 71 (E), including three conversions in her first six holes. Her two-round scorecard of 150 (+8) ranks second among Hoosier players in the field.
• Freshman Áine Donegan dropped two strokes off her first-round score to card a 75 (+4) on Saturday. She is currently 10-over par (152) through two rounds of play after a trio of birdies in the second round.
• Freshman Margaret Fernandez shot an 8-over 79 during Saturday's round and is 15-over 157 for the tournament. Her round consisted of birdies on No. 8 and No. 13.
• Junior Valerie Clancy connected on one birdie try (No. 2) and finished the second round at 7-over 78. For the tournament Clancy has shot a 158 (+16).
• Freshman Beatriz Junqueira shot a 10-over 81 on Saturday and holds a two-round tally of 160 (+18).
• Senior Alexis Miestowski made a pair of birdie putts during the second round and sits on a two-round score of 161 (81-80; +19) heading into Sunday's round.
