Postseason Play Begins with Big Ten Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Hoosier women's golf team is set to play in the 2022 Big Ten Championships at the Fox Chapel Golf Course in Pittsburgh. The 54-hole tournament will begin on April 22.

• The field consists of four teams ranked inside the top-50 of the most recent GolfStat rankings, headlined by Michigan (No. 18). Illinois (No. 23), Michigan State (No. 34) and Purdue (No. 46) round out the highest ranked teams in the field.
• The tournament will consist of 54 holes, with single rounds played daily will be played as a six-count-four tournament with the four best scores counting for the team.
• Coverage of this year's tournament will be provided by Big Ten Network and the FOX Sports app (exact dates/times TBD).
INDIANA IN THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
• Indiana has won four Big Ten Championships four times, most recently coming in the 1997-98 season. IU has also earned runner-up honors on 13 occasions, including the 2018-19 season.
• The Indiana program has produced 10 Big Ten individual champions with Danah Ford (2004) being the most recent winner. She turned in a four-round scorecard of 287 to take the individual crown.
• Indiana posted six individual champions during the 1990s, including three titles from Erika Wicoff from 1994-96.
• Valerie Clancy led the way for the Hoosiers with a 4-over 220 to finish tied for 20th in the 2021 Big Ten Championships. Overall, IU finished 13th in the event with a three-round tally of 918.
