
Hoosiers Sweep Doubleheader Against Boilermakers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana hit four home runs and stole 11 bases as they earned two wins over Purdue on Tuesday at Andy Mohr Field. The Hoosiers won game one, 6-3 and prevailed 7-4 in game two.
Game 1 Indiana: 6 Purdue: 3
Key Moments
• In the second inning Sarah Stone singled and Tatum Hayes came in to pinch run and stole second and third base. Cora Bassett grounded to the pitcher for an RBI for score Hayes and put Indiana up 1-0.
• Indiana added a second run in the third inning on a sac fly from Brittany Ford that scored Copeland, who was hit by a pitch to get on base.
• Indiana added two runs in the fourth to go up 4-0. Purdue got on the board in the fifth with one run to pull within three at 4-1.
• The Boilermakers pushed across two runs in the sixth to bring the score to 4-3.
• The Hoosiers responded in the bottom of the sixth with back-to-back home runs from Juvia Davis and Brooke Benson to go up 6-3.

• With their two victories on the day the Hoosiers improve to 25-17 overall and 8-9 in the Big Ten.
• Brooke Benson hammered her seventh home run of the season and Juvia Davis went deep for her first home run of the season.

• In the fourth inning Aaliyah Andrews and Lindsey Warick hit home runs to put the Hoosiers in front 4-1.
• In the fifth inning Lindsey Warick picked off a runner at second base and Natalie Foor recorded her ninth strikeout of the game to get out of the inning.
• Purdue tied the game with a three-run home run in the sixth inning to even the score 4-4.
• After Cora Bassett was intentionally walked the Hoosiers had the bases loaded in the sixth inning. Grayson Radcliffe lifted a sac fly to put Indiana in front and Brittany Ford hit a single to score two more to put the Hoosiers up 7-4.
