"I'm very excited about how it went today. Obviously winning the Dale England Cup for a fifth straight year, you can't be upset about that at all. But more importantly, I'm proud of how the athletes performed today. This is about preparing about the Big Ten Championships in two weeks, so we hope as we go through the year that we put together a race plan that's going to work to get us from start to finish as fast as possible. To see the athletes executing the way that we had hoped, doing the things that we had practiced, it just makes you feel good and gives you confidence. So, I think it was a great day, not only because we won a lot of the races, but because they executed the way that we have been practicing."
Senior Sophie McCartin (1V8)
On setting a course record…
"It's pretty cool to leave our mark on the lake and on the team as well. That was our plan going into the race, to break the record, and to execute that was cool."
On getting out to a fast start…
"Getting straight through everyone kind of in the first 250 was great. We didn't have to worry too much. We raced our own race and focused on ourselves and beating our own time."
On focus for Big Ten Championships…
"We just want to row our own race and go as fast as we can. We want to show the Big Ten what Indiana is made of."
