BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The first road trip of the season arrives in the fourth games of the season, as the Indiana football program will make the trip across I-74 to face off with Cincinnati in a matinee matchup at Nippert Stadium on Saturday (Sept. 24) on ESPN2.

Setting the Scene
• Indiana (3-0, 1-0 B1G) will hit the road for the first time in 2022 for a road trip to Cincinnati (2-1) in the final non-conference contest for IU on Saturday, Sept. 24. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. inside Nippert Stadium (37,000; Field Turf) on ESPN2.
• For the first time since 1998, Indiana makes the trip across I-74 to Nippert Stadium. That season, the Hoosiers won 48-14 and followed with a 48-6 victory in 2000 to run its winning streak to five games. UC won last season's meeting, 38-24, at Memorial Stadium.
• Head coach Tom Allen is 14-1 all-time against non-conference opponents during the regular season, with the lone blemish against Cincinnati during the 2021 campaign.

• Five team captains were announced by head coach Tom Allen prior to the season opener with four first-time captains in tight end AJ Barner, safety Devon Matthews, cornerback Tiawan Mullen and quarterback Jack Tuttle. Linebacker Cam Jones was selected team captain for the third time in his career, which joins just two other names in program history.
• Allen is on pace to join a select group of coaches in Indiana history, as he is on pace to reach the 30-win mark at the school.
