LOUISVILLE, Ky. ––– Indiana Field Hockey lost on the road to No. 4 Louisville on Friday, 2-0, at Trager Stadium.
The loss drops Indiana's record to 6-4 on the season
KEY MOMENTS
• In the 10th minute, Louisville got two consecutive shots off their penalty corner chance. sophomore Arabella Loveridge made a save and redshirt junior Sydney Keld made a key defensive save on the shot to follow.
• In the 14th minute, Loveridge denied a key opportunity from the Cardinals on her diving save from Louisville's penalty stroke.
• Indiana's defensive prowess stifled Louisville's attack, forcing the game to a scoreless first half.
• Freshman Emma Thompson held down the backline excellently, making multiple stops inside the circle during the second half when Louisville had a numbers advantage on the attack.
• The Indiana offense brought the pressure hard in the fourth period. The Hoosiers forced five penalty corners between the 48th to 49th minute.
